Preface

The Strange History of the Tablets

The history of the tablets translated in the following pages is strange. It goes beyond the belief of modern scientists.

Their antiquity is stupendous. They date back some 36,000 years B.C.

The writer is Thoth, an Atlantean Priest-King. He founded a colony in ancient Egypt after the sinking of the mother country.

He was the builder of the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is erroneously attributed to Cheops. (See The Great Pyramid by Doreal.)

In it, he incorporated his knowledge of the ancient wisdom. He also securely secreted records and instruments of ancient Atlantis.

Thoth's Rule in Egypt

For some 16,000 years, he ruled the ancient race of Egypt. This was from approximately 50,000 B.C. to 36,000 B.C.

At that time, the ancient barbarous race among which he and his followers had settled had been raised to a high degree of civilization.

Thoth was an immortal. That is, he had conquered death. He passed only when he willed. Even then, not through death.

His vast wisdom made him ruler over the various Atlantean colonies. This included the ones in South and Central America.

The Great Pyramid and the Halls of Amenti

When the time came for him to leave Egypt, he erected the Great Pyramid over the entrance to the Great Halls of Amenti.

He placed in it his records. He appointed guards for his secrets from among the highest of his people.

In later times, the descendants of these guards became the pyramid priests. By which Thoth was deified as the God of Wisdom, The Recorder.

This was by those in the age of darkness which followed his passing.

In legend, the halls of Amenti became the underworld. The Halls of the Gods, where the soul passed after death for judgment.

Thoth's Incarnations

During later ages, the ego of Thoth passed into the bodies of men. In the manner described in the tablets.

As such, he incarnated three times. In his last being known as Hermes, the thrice-born.

In this incarnation, he left the writings known to modern occultists as the Emerald Tablets.

A later and far lesser exposition of the ancient mysteries.

About This Translation

The tablets translated in this work are ten. They were left in the Great Pyramid in the custody of the pyramid priests.

The ten are divided into thirteen parts for the sake of convenience.

The last two are so great and far-reaching in their import. At present, it is forbidden to release them to the world at large.

However, in those contained herein are secrets. They will prove of inestimable value to the serious student.

They should be read, not once, but a hundred times. For only thus can the true meaning be revealed.

A casual reading will give glimpses of beauty. But more intensive study will open avenues of wisdom to the seeker.

How the Secrets Were Revealed

But now a word as to how these mighty secrets came to be revealed to modern man. After being hidden so long.

Some thirteen hundred years B.C., Egypt, the ancient Khem, was in turmoil. Many delegations of priests were sent to other parts of the world.

Among these were some of the pyramid priests. They carried with them the Emerald Tablets as a talisman.

By which they could exercise authority over the less advanced priest-craft of races descended from other Atlantean colonies.

The tablets were understood from legend to give the bearer authority from Thoth.

The Journey to South America

The particular group of priests bearing the tablets emigrated to South America.

There they found a flourishing race, the Mayas. Who remembered much of the ancient wisdom.

Among these, the priests settled and remained.

In the tenth century, the Mayas had thoroughly settled the Yucatan. The tablets were placed beneath the altar of one of the great temples of the Sun God.

After the conquest of the Mayas by the Spaniards, the cities were abandoned. The treasures of the temples forgotten.

The Pyramid as a Temple of Initiation

It should be understood that the Great Pyramid of Egypt has been and still is a temple of initiation into the mysteries.

Jesus, Solomon, Apollonius and others were initiated there.

The writer (who has a connection with the Great White Lodge, which also works through the pyramid priesthood) was instructed to recover and return to the Great Pyramid the ancient tablets.

This, after adventures which need not be detailed here, was accomplished.

Before returning them, he was given permission to translate and retain a copy of the wisdom engraved on the tablets.

This was done in 1925. And only now has permission been given for part to be published.

It is expected that many will scoff. Yet the true student will read between the lines and gain wisdom.

If the light is in you, the light which is engraved in these tablets will respond.

The Material of the Tablets

Now, a word as to the material aspect of the tablets.

They consist of twelve tablets of emerald green. Formed from a substance created through alchemical transmutation.

They are imperishable. Resistant to all elements and substances.

In effect, the atomic and cellular structure is fixed. No change ever taking place.

In this respect, they violate the material law of ionization.

Upon them are engraved characters in the ancient Atlantean language.

Characters which respond to attuned thought waves. Releasing the associated mental vibration in the mind of the reader.

The tablets are fastened together with hoops of golden-colored alloy suspended from a rod of the same material.

So much for the material appearance.

The wisdom contained therein is the foundation of the ancient mysteries.

And for the one who reads with open eyes and mind, his wisdom shall be increased a hundred-fold.

And the vibration found therein will awaken a response in your soul.

Emerald Tablet I: The History of Thoth, The Atlantean

I, Thoth, the Atlantean, master of mysteries, keeper of records, mighty king, magician, live from generation to generation. I am about to pass into the Halls of Amenti. I set down these records of the mighty wisdom of Great Atlantis for those who come after.

In the great city of Keor, on the island of Undal, in a time far past, I began this incarnation. The mighty ones of Atlantis did not live and die like the little men of today. Instead, they renewed their life from aeon to aeon in the Halls of Amenti, where the river of life flows eternally.

A hundred times ten, I descended the dark way that led to light. Just as many times, I ascended from darkness into light, my strength and power renewed.

Now, for a time, I descend, and the men of Khem will know me no more. But in a time yet unborn, I will rise again, mighty and potent, requiring an accounting of those I left behind.

Beware, O men of Khem, if you falsely betray my teachings. I shall cast you down from your high estate into the darkness of the caves from whence you came. Do not betray my secrets to the men of the North or South, lest my curse fall upon you.

Remember my words, for I will surely return. I will reward or punish as you have honored your trust. Even from beyond time and death, I will return.

Great were my people in ancient days, beyond the understanding of the little people around me now. We knew the wisdom of old, seeking knowledge far within the heart of infinity, knowledge from Earth’s youth.

Wise were we with the wisdom of the Children of Light who dwelt among us. Strong were we with power drawn from the eternal fire.

Greatest among the children of men was my father, Thotme, keeper of the great temple. He was the link between the Children of Light in the temple and the races of men on the ten islands. He spoke for the Dweller of Unal, a voice that kings obeyed.

I grew from a child into manhood, taught by my father the elder mysteries. In time, the fire of wisdom grew within me, bursting into a consuming flame.

I desired only the attainment of wisdom. On a great day, the Dweller of the Temple commanded that I be brought before him.

Few among men had looked upon the Dweller’s mighty face and lived. The Children of Light, when not in physical form, are unlike the sons of men.

I was chosen from the sons of men, taught by the Dweller to fulfill his purposes, yet unborn in the womb of time. For long ages, I dwelt in the Temple, learning ever more wisdom.

I approached the light emitted from the great fire. The Dweller taught me the path to Amenti, the underworld where the great king sits on his throne of might.

I bowed deeply before the Lords of Life and the Lords of Death. I received the key of Life as my gift. Free was I of the Halls of Amenti, unbound by death in the circle of life.

I journeyed far to the stars until space and time became as nothing. Drinking deeply from the cup of wisdom, I looked into the hearts of men and found greater mysteries. I was glad, for only in the search for truth could my soul be stilled and the flame within quenched.

Through the ages, I lived, watching those around me taste death and return in the light of life. Gradually, the consciousness of Atlantis that was one with me faded, replaced by spawn of a lower star.

In obedience to the law, the Master’s word grew into flower. But the thoughts of the Atlanteans turned downward into darkness.

In his wrath, the Dweller arose from his Agwanti, a state of detachment, speaking The Word, calling the power. Deep in Earth’s heart, the sons of Amenti heard and directed the flower of fire that burns eternally, changing its direction using the Logos.

Great waters broke over the world, drowning and sinking, changing Earth’s balance. Only the Temple of Light remained standing on the great mountain of Undal, rising out of the water. Some living were saved from the rush of the fountains.

The Master called to me, saying: “Gather my people. Take them by the arts you have learned across the waters to the land of the hairy barbarians, dwelling in desert caves. Follow the plan you know.”

I gathered my people and entered the Master’s great ship. We rose upward into the morning, leaving the dark Temple beneath as the waters rose. The great Temple vanished from Earth until the appointed time.

We fled fast toward the sun of the morning, reaching the land of the children of Khem. They came raging with cudgels and spears, seeking to slay the Sons of Atlantis.

I raised my staff and directed a ray of vibration, striking them still as fragments of mountain stone. Then I spoke calmly, telling them of Atlantis’s might, saying we were children of the Sun and its messengers. They groveled at my feet when I released them, cowed by my display of magic-science.

We dwelt long in the land of Khem, long and yet long again. Obeying the eternal Master’s commands, I sent the Sons of Atlantis in many directions so wisdom might rise again in her children from the womb of time.

I dwelt long in Khem, doing great works with the wisdom within me. The children of Khem grew upward into the light of knowledge, watered by the rains of my wisdom.

I blasted a path to Amenti to retain my powers, living from age to age as a Sun of Atlantis, keeping the wisdom and preserving the records.

The sons of Khem grew great, conquering those around them, slowly rising in Soul force.

Now, for a time, I go from them into the dark halls of Amenti, deep in the Earth, to face the Dweller and the Lords of the Powers once more.

I raised a doorway, a gateway to Amenti, high over the entrance. Few would dare pass the portal to dark Amenti.

I built a mighty pyramid using the power that overcomes Earth’s force (gravity). Deep within, I placed a force-house or chamber, carving a circular passage nearly to the summit.

At the apex, I set a crystal, sending a ray into “Time-Space,” drawing force from the ether to concentrate on the gateway to Amenti. (See The Great Pyramid by Doreal.)

I built other chambers, seemingly vacant, yet hiding the keys to Amenti. He who dares the dark realms must first be purified by long fasting and lie in my stone sarcophagus. Then I will reveal the great mysteries to him.

Soon, he shall follow where I meet him, even in Earth’s darkness. I, Thoth, Lord of Wisdom, will meet and dwell with him always.

I built the Great Pyramid, patterned after the pyramid of Earth force, burning eternally to remain through the ages. In it, I stored my knowledge of “Magic-Science” for when I return from Amenti.

While I sleep in the Halls of Amenti, my Soul roams free, incarnating among men in this form or another. (Hermes, thrice-born.)

I am the Dweller’s emissary on Earth, fulfilling his commands to lift man upward. Now I return to the Halls of Amenti, leaving some of my wisdom behind.

Preserve and keep the Dweller’s command: Lift your eyes ever upward to the light. In time, you shall be one with the Master, one with the All.

Now I depart from you. Know my commandments, keep them, and be them. I will be with you, helping and guiding you into the Light.

Before me opens the portal. I go down into the darkness of night.

Emerald Tablet II: The Halls of Amenti

Deep in the Earth’s heart lie the Halls of Amenti, far beneath the islands of sunken Atlantis. These are the Halls of the Dead and the halls of the living, bathed in the fire of the infinite ALL.

Long ago, lost in space-time, the Children of Light looked down on the world. They saw the children of men in bondage, bound by a force from beyond. They knew only freedom from this bondage could lift man from Earth to the Sun.

The Children of Light descended and created bodies, taking the form of men. The masters of everything said: “We are formed from space-dust, partaking of life from the infinite ALL. We live as children of men, like yet unlike them.”

For a dwelling place, they blasted great spaces far beneath the Earth’s crust. These spaces were apart from the children of men, surrounded by forces and power, shielding the Halls of the Dead from harm.

Side by side, they created other spaces filled with Life and Light from above. Thus, they built the Halls of Amenti to dwell there eternally, living with life to eternity’s end.

Thirty-two were the sons of Light who came among men. They sought to free those bound by the darkness from a force beyond.

Deep in the Halls of Life grew a flaming, expanding flower, driving back the night. At its center was a ray of great power, giving Life and Light to all who came near.

Around it, they placed thirty-two thrones for the Children of Light. These were bathed in radiance, filled with Life from the eternal Light.

Time after time, they placed their first-created bodies in the thrones. Every hundred years out of a thousand, the Life-giving Light flamed forth, quickening and awakening the Spirit of Life.

In the circle, from aeon to aeon, the Great Masters sit, living a life unknown to men. In the Halls of Life, their bodies lie sleeping, while their Souls flow freely through the bodies of men.

Time after time, while their bodies sleep, they incarnate in men’s bodies. They teach and guide, leading men out of darkness into the Light.

In the Hall of Life, filled with their wisdom, the Children of Light live forever. Unknown to the races of man, they awaken at times to shine as lights among men, infinite among the finite.

He who progresses from darkness to light becomes free of the Halls of Amenti. Guided by wisdom and knowledge, he passes from man to a Master of Life, free from the bonds of night.

Within the flower of radiance sit seven Lords from the Space-Time above. Mighty and strange, veiled in power, they guide men’s paths with infinite wisdom, different yet one with the Children of Light.

These Lords are custodians of man’s bondage, ready to free those who reach the light. The first and mightiest is the Veiled Presence, Lord of Lords, the infinite Nine, watching over men’s progress.

Under the Veiled Presence sit the Lords of the Cycles: Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, and Eight. Each has a mission and power, guiding and directing man’s destiny.

They sit, mighty and potent, free of all time and space. Not of this world, yet akin to it, they are Elder Brothers, judging and weighing the progress of Light among men.

I was led by the Dweller before them, watching him blend with ONE from above. A voice came from the Veiled Presence: “Great art thou, Thoth, among men. Free henceforth of the Halls of Amenti, Master of Life.”

The voice continued: “Taste not of death unless you will it. Drink of Life to eternity’s end. Amenti is free to you, Child of the Light. Choose your work, for all souls must labor on the path of Light.”

Each step you take heightens the mountain of Light. The goal of infinite Wisdom recedes ever before you. Yet, you are free to walk with the Lords, working together to bring Light to men.

One of the Masters took my hand, leading me through the Halls of Amenti. He showed me mysteries unknown to man, through dark passages to the Hall where dark Death sits.

Vast as space was the great Hall, walled by darkness yet filled with Light. Before me stood a great throne of darkness, where sat a figure darker than night.

The Master paused and spoke The Word that brings Life: “O master of darkness, guide from Life to Life. Do not touch this Sun of the morning with the power of night. Release his flame from its bondage.”

The figure raised its hand, and a clear, bright flame came forth. The curtain of darkness rolled back, unveiling the Hall. Flame after flame grew before me, some bright as flowers, others dim, glowing faintly.

Some flames faded swiftly; others grew from a small spark. Each was surrounded by a dim veil of darkness, yet flamed with unquenchable light, like fireflies in springtime, filling the space with Life.

A mighty voice spoke: “These are the souls of men, growing and fading, yet existing forever. When they bloom to their zenith, I send my veil of darkness, changing them to new forms of life.”

The voice continued: “The soul of man grows ever upward, quenched yet unquenched by the night. I, Death, come but do not remain, for eternal life exists in the All. Awaken, O flame, and conquer the veil of night.”

In the midst of the flames, one grew brighter, driving forth the night until only Light remained. My guide said: “See your own soul, free now forever from the Lord of the night.”

He led me through great spaces filled with mysteries of the Children of Light, unknown to man until he becomes a Sun of the Light. Then he led me back to the Hall of Light.

I knelt before the great Masters, Lords of ALL from the cycles above. One spoke with great power: “You are free of the Halls of Amenti. Choose your work among men.”

I replied: “O great master, let me teach men, leading them upward until they, too, are lights, freed from the veil of night, shining among men.”

The voice answered: “Go as you will. You are master of your destiny. Take the power and wisdom, and shine as a light among men.”

The Dweller led me upward, and I dwelt again among men, teaching and sharing my wisdom, a Sun of the Light, a fire among men.

Now again, I tread the path downward, seeking Light in the darkness of night. Preserve my record, for it shall guide the children of men.

Emerald Tablet III: The Key of Wisdom

I, Thoth, the Atlantean, freely give my wisdom, knowledge, and power to the children of men. I give so they may have wisdom to shine through the world, piercing the veil of the night.

Wisdom is power, and power is wisdom. Together, they perfect the whole.

Be not proud of your wisdom, O man. Discourse with the ignorant as well as the wise. If someone comes to you full of knowledge, listen and heed, for wisdom is all.

Do not stay silent when evil is spoken. Truth, like sunlight, shines above all.

Those who overstep the Law will be punished. Only through Law comes the freedom of men.

Follow your heart during your lifetime. Do more than is commanded of you.

When you gain riches, follow your heart. Riches are of no avail if your heart is weary. Do not diminish the time spent following your heart, for it is abhorred by the soul.

Those who are guided do not go astray. Those who are lost cannot find a straight path.

If you go among men, make Love the beginning and end of your heart.

If someone seeks your counsel, let them speak freely so their purpose may be fulfilled. If they hesitate to open their heart, it is because you, the judge, have done wrong.

Do not repeat or listen to extravagant speech. It comes from one not in equilibrium. Speak not of it, so the one before you may know wisdom.

Silence is of great profit. An abundance of speech profits nothing.

Do not exalt your heart above the children of men, lest it be brought lower than the dust.

If you are great among men, be honored for knowledge and gentleness.

To know a friend’s nature, do not ask his companion. Spend time alone with him, debating and testing his heart by his words and bearing.

What goes into the storehouse must come forth. Share what is yours with a friend.

The fool sees knowledge as ignorance and profitable things as hurtful. He lives in death, for it is his food.

The wise man lets his heart overflow but keeps his mouth silent.

O man, listen to the voice of wisdom, the voice of light. There are mysteries in the Cosmos that, when unveiled, fill the world with light.

To be free from the bonds of darkness, first discern the material from the immaterial, the fire from the earth. As earth descends to earth, so fire ascends to fire, becoming one with it.

He who knows the fire within himself will ascend to the eternal fire and dwell in it forever. Fire, the inner fire, is the most potent force, overcoming and penetrating all things of the Earth.

Man supports himself only on what resists. Thus, Earth must resist man, or he would not exist.

Not all eyes see with the same vision. An object appears one way to one eye and differently to another. So too, the infinite fire changes from color to color, never the same day to day.

I, Thoth, speak of my wisdom. Man is a fire burning bright through the night, never quenched by the veil of darkness.

Listen to this wisdom: where do name and form cease? Only in consciousness, an invisible, infinite force of radiant light. The forms you create by brightening your vision are effects that follow your cause.

Man is a star bound to a body. Through struggle and toil, the star within blooms into new life. He who knows the beginning of all things frees his star from the realms of night.

Remember, O man, all that exists is another form of what does not exist. Everything with being passes into another being, and you are no exception.

Consider the Law, for all is Law. Seek not what is not of the Law, for such exists only in the illusions of the senses.

Wisdom comes to all her children as they seek her. Through the ages, the light has been hidden. Awake, O man, and be wise.

I have traveled deep into the mysteries of life, seeking what is hidden. Listen, O man, and be wise.

Far beneath the Earth’s crust, in the Halls of Amenti, I saw mysteries hidden from men. I journeyed through hidden passages and looked on the Light that is Life among men.

Beneath the ever-living Flowers of Life, I searched the hearts and secrets of men. I found that man lives in darkness, with the light of the great fire hidden within.

Before the Lords of hidden Amenti, I learned the wisdom I now give to men. They are Masters of great Secret Wisdom, brought from the future of infinity’s end.

Seven are the Lords of Amenti, overlords of the Children of Morning, Suns of the Cycles, Masters of Wisdom. They are not formed like the children of men.

Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, and Nine are the titles of the Masters of men. From far in the future, formless yet forming, they came as teachers for the children of men.

They live forever, yet not of the living, unbound by life and free from death. They rule with infinite wisdom, bound yet unbound to the dark Halls of Death.

From them came the Logos, instruments of power over all. Vast is their countenance, yet hidden in smallness, formed by a forming, known yet unknown.

Three holds the key to all hidden magic, creator of the Halls of the Dead. He sends forth power, shrouding with darkness, binding the souls of men.

Four is the Lord who looses the power, bringing Life to the children of men. Light is his body, flame is his countenance, freeing souls to men.

Five is the master, the Lord of all magic, the Key to The Word that resounds among men.

Six is the Lord of Light, the hidden pathway, part of the souls of the children of men.

Seven is the Lord of vastness, master of Space and the key of the Times.

Eight is he who orders progress, weighing and balancing the journey of men.

Nine is the father, vast in countenance, forming and changing from the formless.

Meditate on the symbols I give you. They are keys, though hidden from men.

Reach ever upward, O Soul of the morning. Turn your thoughts to Light and Life. Find in the keys of the numbers I bring you light on the pathway from life to life.

Seek with wisdom and turn your thoughts inward. Do not close your mind to the Flower of Light.

Place in your body a thought-formed picture. Think of the numbers that lead you to Life.

The pathway is clear to he who has wisdom. Open the door to the Kingdom of Light.

Pour forth your flame as a Sun of the morning. Shut out the darkness and live in the day.

Take the Seven as part of your being, though they are not as they seem. I have opened my wisdom, O man. Follow the path I have led.

Masters of Wisdom, Sun of the Morning Light, and Life to the children of men.

Emerald Tablet IV: The Space Born

Listen, O man, to the voice of wisdom, to the voice of Thoth, the Atlantean. I freely give you my wisdom, gathered from the time and space of this cycle. As master of mysteries, Sun of the morning, I, Thoth, teach men of the ALL.

Long ago, in my childhood, I lay beneath the stars on long-buried Atlantis, dreaming of mysteries far above men. A great longing grew in my heart to conquer the pathway to the stars.

Year after year, I sought wisdom, seeking new knowledge, following the way. At last, my Soul, in great travail, broke free from its bondage and bounded away.

Free was I from the bondage of earth-men, free from the body. I flashed through the night, and the star-space was unlocked for me at last.

Now I sought wisdom to the end of space, far beyond the knowledge of finite man. My Soul traveled freely into infinity’s circle of light.

Strange were some planets, great and gigantic, beyond men’s dreams. Yet I found Law, in all its beauty, working through them as it does among men.

My soul flashed through infinity’s beauty, flying far through space with my thoughts. I rested on a planet of beauty, where strains of harmony filled the air.

Shapes moved in Order, great and majestic, like stars in the night. They mounted in harmony, ordered equilibrium, symbols of the Cosmic, like unto Law.

I passed many stars in my journey, many races of men on their worlds. Some reached high as morning stars, others fell low in the blackness of night.

Each race struggled upward, gaining heights and plumbing depths. At times, they moved in realms of brightness, living through darkness to gain the Light.

Know, O man, that Light is your heritage. Darkness is only a veil. Sealed in your heart is eternal brightness, waiting to conquer the night.

I found some who conquered the ether, free of space yet still men. Using the force that is the foundation of ALL, they built a planet in space, drawn by the force flowing through the ALL.

They condensed and coalesced the ether into forms that grew as they willed. Outstripping all races in science, they were mighty in wisdom, sons of the stars.

I paused long, watching their wisdom. I saw them create gigantic cities of rose and gold from the ether, formed from the primal element, the base of all matter.

Far in the past, they had conquered the ether, freed from the bondage of toil. With only a picture in their mind, they swiftly created, and it grew.

My soul sped through the Cosmos, seeing new and old things. I learned that man is truly space-born, a Sun of the Sun, a child of the stars.

Know, O man, whatever form you inhabit, you are one with the stars. Your bodies are planets revolving around central suns.

When you gain the light of all wisdom, you shall shine in the ether, one of the Suns lighting outer darkness. You are space-born, grown into Light.

Just as stars lose their brilliance, passing light to the great source, so your soul passes onward, leaving behind the darkness of night.

You are formed from the primal ether, filled with brilliance from the source. Bound by the ether coalesced around you, your flame burns until it is free.

Lift your flame from the darkness, fly from the night, and you shall be free. I traveled through space-time, knowing my soul was set free to pursue wisdom.

At last, I passed to a plane hidden from knowledge, unknown to wisdom, beyond all we know. My soul grew happy, for now I was free.

Listen, ye space-born, to my wisdom: you too can be free. Hear my knowledge, that you may live and be free.

You are not of the earth but a child of the Infinite Cosmic Light. I give you knowledge to walk the path I have trod, leading to the stars.

Know your bondage, O man, and how to free yourself from its toils. Rise out of darkness, one with the Light and the stars.

Follow the path of wisdom always. Only by this can you rise from below to the Curves of Infinity’s ALL.

All space is ordered, and only by Order are you One with the ALL. Order and balance are the Law of the Cosmos.

To follow the path of wisdom, open your consciousness to the Flower of Life. Extend it out of darkness, flowing through time and space in the ALL.

Linger in deep silence until you are free from desire and the longing to speak. Conquer the bondage of words through silence.

Abstain from eating until you conquer the desire for food, the bondage of the soul. Then lie in the darkness, closing your eyes from the rays of Light.

Center your soul-force in your consciousness, shaking it free from the bonds of night. Place in your mind the image you desire, picturing the place you wish to see.

Vibrate with your power, back and forth, to loosen your soul from the night. Fiercely shake with all your power until your soul is free.

The flame of the Cosmic is mighty, hanging in planes unknown to man. It moves in Order, with music of harmonies, far beyond man.

It speaks with music and sings with color, a flame from Eternity’s ALL. You, my children, are a spark of this flame, burning with color, living with music.

Listen to the voice, and you shall be free. Your consciousness, freed, fuses with the Cosmic, One with the Order and Law of the ALL.

Know that out of darkness, Light shall flame forth, a symbol of the ALL. Pray this prayer for wisdom: “Mighty Spirit of Light that shines through the Cosmos, draw my flame closer in harmony to thee.

Lift my fire from the darkness, magnet of fire that is One with the ALL. Lift my soul, thou mighty and potent. Child of the Light, turn not away.

Draw me in power to melt in thy furnace, One with all things and all things in One, fire of the life-strain and One with the Brain.”

When you free your soul from its bondage, the darkness is gone. You may seek wisdom through space, unbound by fleshly fetters.

Flash onward and upward, O Soul, to the realms of Light. Move in Order and Harmony, freely with the Children of Light.

Seek and know my Key of Wisdom. Thus, O man, you shall surely be free.

Emerald Tablet V: The Dweller of Unal

I often dream of buried Atlantis, lost in the ages that have passed into night. Aeon on aeon, it existed in beauty, shining through the darkness of night.

Mighty in power, ruling the earth-born, the Master of Unal was Lord of the Earth in Atlantis’ day. King of nations, master of wisdom, Light through Suntal, he was Keeper of the Way.

The Master, from a cycle beyond us, lived in bodies as one among men. Not like the earth-born, he was a Sun of a cycle, advanced beyond men.

Know, O man, that Horlet the Master was never one with the children of men. Far in the past, when Atlantis first grew as a power, he appeared with the Key of Wisdom.

He showed all men the path of attainment, the way of Light that flows among them. Mastering darkness, he led the Man-Soul upward to heights One with the Light.

He divided the Kingdoms into ten sections, ruled by the children of men. On another, he built a Temple, not by human hands.

From the Ether, he called its substance, molded by the power of Ytolan into forms he built with his mind. Mile upon mile, it covered the island, growing in might, dark like space-time yet holding the Essence of Light.

Swiftly, the Temple grew, shaped by the Word of the Dweller, called from the formless into form. Within it, he built great chambers, filled with forms called from the Ether and wisdom from his mind.

Formless was he within his Temple, yet formed in the image of man. Dwelling among men, he was strange and far different from them.

He chose three from the highest to be his gateway, his links with Atlantis. These messengers carried his counsel to the kings of men.

He brought forth others, teaching them wisdom to be teachers of Light to men. He placed them on the island of Undal to stand as guides.

Each chosen one was taught for fifteen years to gain understanding. Only thus could they bring Light to the children of men.

Thus, the Temple became a dwelling place for the Master of man. I, Thoth, have always sought wisdom, searching in darkness and Light.

In my youth, I traveled the pathway, seeking new knowledge. After much striving, one of the Three brought me the Light.

He brought me the Dweller’s commands, calling me from darkness into Light. Before the great Fire in the Temple, I was brought before the Dweller.

I beheld the Dweller on his great throne, clothed in Light, flashing with fire. I knelt before his wisdom, feeling Light flow through me in waves.

The Dweller’s voice spoke: “O darkness, come into the Light. Long have you sought the pathway to Light. Each soul that loosens its fetters shall be free from the bondage of night.”

He continued: “You have risen closer to the Light of your goal. Dwell here as my child, keeper of records gathered by wisdom, instrument of Light from beyond.”

“Be ready to do what is needed, preserver of wisdom through ages of darkness. Live here and drink of all wisdom. Secrets and mysteries shall be unveiled to you.”

I, the Master of Cycles, answered: “O Light that descended to men, give me your wisdom to teach men. Give me your Light that I may be free.”

The Master replied: “Age after age, you shall live through your wisdom. When Atlantis falls beneath ocean waves, hold the Light, hidden in darkness, ready to come when you call.”

“Go now and learn greater wisdom. Grow through Light to Infinity’s ALL.” I dwelt long in the Dweller’s Temple until I was One with the Light.

I followed the path to the star planes, learning secrets below and above. I pierced Earth’s hidden chambers, learning the Law that balances the world.

Deep through the Earth’s crust, I journeyed to the pathway of Amenti, hidden for ages. Ever more wisdom was unveiled until I found all is part of an ALL, greater than we know.

I searched Infinity’s heart through the ages, finding deeper mysteries. Now, looking back, I know wisdom is boundless, One with Infinity’s ALL.

There was Light in ancient Atlantis, but darkness was hidden in all. Some who rose high fell into darkness, proud of their knowledge and place among men.

They delved deep into the forbidden, opening a gateway below. Those who descend below must have balance, or they are bound by lack of Light.

By their knowledge, they opened forbidden pathways. In his Temple, the all-seeing Dweller, in his Agwanti, saw the Atlanteans’ magic bring a great woe to Earth.

His soul fled back to his body, and he arose from his Agwanti. He called the Three mighty messengers and gave commands that shattered the world.

The Dweller descended swiftly to the Halls of Amenti, wielding the powers of the Seven Lords. He changed the Earth’s balance, and Atlantis sank beneath dark waves.

The gateway opened was shattered, as was the doorway below. All islands were destroyed except Unal and part of the Dweller’s sons’ island.

He preserved them to be teachers, Lights for those to come, guiding the lesser children of man. He called me, Thoth, before him, giving commands for my work.

He said: “Take all your wisdom, records, and magic, O Thoth. Go forth, preserving them until Light grows among men. Be a Light through the ages, hidden yet found by the enlightened.”

“We give you power over all Earth, free to give or take away. Gather the sons of Atlantis and flee to the people of the rock caves, to the land of the Children of Khem.”

I gathered the sons of Atlantis, bringing all my records and mighty magic into the spaceship. We rose on wings of the morning, high above the Temple.

We left the Three and Dweller deep in the Halls beneath the Temple. The great Temple sank beneath the waves, closing the pathway to the Lords of the Cycles.

Yet, to those with knowing, the path to Amenti remains open. We fled fast to the land of Khem, where I conquered and ruled by my power.

I raised the children of Khem to Light. Deep beneath the rocks, I buried my spaceship, waiting for the time when man might be free.

Over the spaceship, I erected a marker, a lion yet like a man. There, beneath the image, my spaceship rests, to be brought forth when need arises.

Know, O man, that in the future, invaders will come from the deep. Awake, you who have wisdom, and bring forth my ship to conquer with ease.

My secret lies deep beneath the image, in the pyramid I built. Each to the other is the Keystone, the gateway to Life.

Follow the Key I leave behind. Search in my pyramid, deep in the passage that ends in a wall. Use the Key of the Seven, and the pathway to Life will open.

I have given you my wisdom and my way. Follow the pathway, solve my secrets, and I have shown you the way.

Emerald Tablet VI: The Key of Magic

Hear, O man, the wisdom of magic, the knowledge of forgotten powers. Long ago, in the days of the first man, a warfare began between darkness and light.

Men, then as now, were filled with both darkness and light. In some, darkness held sway, while in others, light filled the soul.

This warfare is age-old, an eternal struggle between darkness and light. It is fiercely fought through the ages, using strange powers hidden from man.

Adepts filled with blackness always struggle against the light. Others, filled with brightness, have ever conquered the darkness of night.

Wherever you are, in all ages and planes, you will know this battle with night. Long ago, the Suns of the Morning descended and found the world filled with darkness, beginning the age-old struggle.

Many in that time were so filled with darkness that their light flamed only feebly. Some were masters of darkness, seeking to fill all with their night, drawing others into their darkness.

The masters of brightness fiercely fought back from the darkness of night. They sought to tighten the fetters that bind man to darkness, using dark magic that enshrouds the soul.

Banded together as the Brothers of Darkness, they walked secretly through the ages. Antagonists to the children of men, they worked in darkness, hiding from the light.

Silently and secretly, they used their power, enslaving and binding men’s souls. Unseen, they come and go, called by man’s ignorance from below.

Dark is the way of the Brothers of Darkness, a darkness not of the night. They travel through man’s dreams, reaching into mind-space, closing the veil of their night.

That soul dwells in bondage, bound by the fetters of night. Mighty are they in forbidden knowledge, forbidden because it is one with the night.

Hear my warning, O man: be free from the bondage of night. Do not surrender your soul to the Brothers of Darkness. Keep your face turned toward the Light.

Your sorrow comes only through the Veil of the night. Strive ever upward, turning your soul toward the Light.

Those who travel far toward the Sun on the path of Light have greater power to bind with darkness the children of Light. Weigh carefully the words of he who comes to you, to see if they are of Light.

Many walk in Dark Brightness, yet are not children of Light. Their path is easy to follow, but Light comes only to those who strive.

The pathway to Wisdom and Light is hard, with many stones and mountains to climb. Yet, to he who overcomes, the pathway of Light will be free.

Never follow the Brothers of Darkness. Always be a child of the Light. In the end, Light must conquer, banishing darkness and night.

Listen and heed this wisdom: even as darkness exists, so does the Light. When darkness is banished and all Veils are rendered, Light shall flash forth from the darkness.

The Brothers of Light exist, antagonists to the Brothers of Darkness, seeking to free men from the night. Mighty and potent, they know the Law, and the planets obey.

Working in harmony and order, they free the man-soul from its bondage. Secret and hidden, they walk unknown to men, yet always show the Way.

They have fought the Brothers of Darkness through time, conquering forever. Light shall always be master, driving away the darkness of night.

Know this, O man: the Children of Light walk beside you always. Masters of the Sun’s power, they are unseen guardians of men.

Their pathway is open to all who walk in the Light. Free of Dark Amenti, where Life reigns supreme, they are Suns and Lords of the morning.

Like men yet unlike, they have been One in eternal Oneness since time began. Formed and unformed, they came from the first-space, in Oneness with the All One.

They have given men secrets to guard and protect from harm. To travel the path of a master, one must be free from the bondage of night.

Conquer the formless and shapeless, the phantom of fear. Gain all secrets, travel the pathway through darkness, and keep the light of your goal ever before you.

Great obstacles lie in the pathway, but press on to the Light of the Sun. The Sun is the symbol of the Light that shines at the end of your road.

I give you secrets to meet the dark power and conquer fear from the night. Only by knowing can you conquer; only by knowing can you have Light.

Use this wisdom to master the Brothers of Night. When a feeling draws you to the dark gate, examine your heart to see if the darkness comes from within.

If the darkness is your own thoughts, banish them from your mind. Send a wave of vibration through your body, irregular then regular, repeating until free.

Start the Wave Force in your Brain Center, directing it from head to foot. If your heart is not darkened, know a force is directed at you.

Only by knowing can you overcome it. Wisdom brings power, and with it, you shall have power over all.

Seek a place bound with darkness and place a circle around you. Stand erect in the circle’s midst and use this formula to be free.

Raise your hands to the dark space above, close your eyes, and draw in the Light. Call to the Spirit of Light through Space-Time with these words:

“Fill my body with the Spirit of Light. Come from the Flower that shines through the darkness. Come from the Halls where the Seven Lords rule.”

Name the Seven by name: Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine. Call them to aid you: Untanas, Quertas, Chietal, Goyana, Huertal, Semveta, Ardal.

By their names, implore: “Free me from darkness and fill me with Light.” When you do this, you shall be free from the fetters of the Brothers of Night.

The names have power to free by vibration. Use them to free your brother from the night.

You are your brother’s helper; let him not lie in bondage. I give you my magic to dwell on the pathway of Light.

Light unto you, Life unto you, may you be a Sun on the cycle above.

Emerald Tablet VII: The Seven Lords

Hear, O man, and listen to my Voice. Open your mind-space and drink of my wisdom. The pathway of Life you travel is dark, with many pitfalls in your way.

Seek ever to gain greater wisdom. Attain it, and it shall be light on your way.

Open your Soul to the Cosmic, letting it flow as one with your Soul. Light is eternal, while darkness is fleeting. Seek always the Light, and darkness shall soon disappear.

Open your soul to the Brothers of Brightness. Let them enter and fill you with Light. Lift your eyes to the Light of the Cosmos, keeping your face toward the goal.

Only by gaining the light of all wisdom will you be one with the Infinite goal. Seek the eternal Oneness, the Light of the goal.

Light is both infinite and finite, separated only by darkness in man. Seek to rend the Veil of Darkness, bringing the Light together into One.

Hear my Voice, singing the song of Light and Life. Light is prevalent throughout all space, encompassing ALL with its banners of flame.

Seek forever in the Veil of Darkness, and you shall find Light. Hidden and buried, deep in the finite, the Infinite exists, flowing through all things.

The Infinite Brain lives in ALL. In all space, there is only One wisdom, though it seems divided, it is One in the One.

All that exists comes from the Light, and the Light comes from the ALL. Everything created is based on Order; Law rules the space where the Infinite dwells.

From equilibrium came the great cycles, moving in harmony toward Infinity’s end. Know, O man, that far in space-time, Infinity itself shall pass into change.

Hear the Voice of Wisdom: ALL is of ALL evermore. Through time, pursue wisdom, and you shall find ever more light on the way.

Your goal will always recede, eluding you day by day. Long ago, in the Halls of Amenti, I, Thoth, stood before the Lords of the cycles.

Mighty in power and wisdom unveiled, I first saw them led by the Dweller. Later, I was free to enter their conclave at will, journeying down the dark pathway to the Hall where Light glows.

I learned from the Masters of cycles, wisdom from cycles above, knowledge from Infinity’s All. I asked many questions, and great was the wisdom they gave me.

Now I share this wisdom, drawn from the flame of Infinity’s fire. Deep in the Dark Halls sit the Seven, units of consciousness from cycles above.

They manifest in this cycle to guide man to the knowledge of All. Seven are they, mighty in power, speaking through me to men.

Time after time, I stood before them, listening to words that came without sound. They said: “O man, would you gain wisdom? Seek it in the heart of the flame.”

“Would you gain knowledge of power? Seek it in the heart of the flame. To be one with the flame, seek your own hidden flame.”

Many times they spoke, teaching wisdom not of this world, showing new paths to brightness. They gave knowledge of operation, the order of ALL.

The Seven spoke again: “From far beyond time, we come, O man. We traveled from beyond Space-Time, from the place of Infinity’s end.”

“When you and your brethren were formless, we were formed from the order of ALL. Not as men, though once we were men, we came from the Great Void by Law.”

“What is formed is truly formless, having form only to your eyes.” They called me, Thoth, Child of the Light, free to travel the bright path upward until all become One.

We were formed after our order: Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine. These are the cycles we descend from to man, each with a duty and force to control.

Yet we are One with the Soul of our cycle, seeking a goal beyond man’s conception. Infinity extends into a greater than All, where all shall become ONE in a time yet not a time.

Time and space move in circles. Know their law, and you shall be free to move through the cycles, passing the guardians at the door.

The Lord of Nine spoke: “Aeons have I existed, knowing neither Life nor death. In the future, life and death shall be one with the All, perfected by balancing each other.”

“In this cycle, the life force is rampant, but life becomes one with the All. I manifest here, yet I am in your future, where time does not exist for the formless.”

“Man is a flame bound to a mountain, but we in our cycle are ever free. When you progress to cycles above, life passes to darkness, leaving only the essence of Soul.”

The Lord of Eight said: “All you know is but part of little. You have not touched the Great. I came into the Light from far out in space, formed yet not as you are.”

“My formless form is a Body of Light. I know neither Life nor Death, yet I master all that exists. Seek the path through the barriers to the Light.”

The Nine spoke again: “Seek the path to beyond. It is not impossible to grow to a consciousness above. When Two become One and One becomes All, the barrier lifts, and you are free.”

Through ages, I listened, learning the way to the All. Now I lift my thought to the All-Thing, hearing when it calls.

“O Light, all-pervading, One with All and All with One, flow through me. Make me One with the All-Soul, shining from the blackness of night.”

“Free me of space-time, free from the Veil of night. I, a Child of the Light, command: Free me from darkness to be.”

I am formless to the Light-Soul, yet shining with Light. The bonds of darkness must shatter before the Light.

I give this wisdom: Be free, O man, living in light and brightness. Do not turn from the Light, for your soul dwells in realms of brightness.

You are a Child of the Light. Turn your thoughts inward, not outward, to find the Light-Soul within.

Know you are the Master; all else comes from within. Grow to realms of brightness, holding your thought on the Light.

You are one with the Cosmos, a flame and a Child of the Light. Let not your thought turn away, for brightness flows through your body always.

Do not turn to the Dark-Brightness of the Brothers of Black. Keep your eyes lifted, your soul in tune with the Light.

Take this wisdom and heed it. Listen to my Voice and obey. Follow the pathway to brightness, and you shall be One with the way.

Emerald Tablet VIII: The Key of Mysteries

Unto you, O man, I have given my knowledge and Light. Hear and receive my wisdom, brought from space planes above and beyond.

I am not as man, for I am free of dimensions and planes. In each, I take a new body, changing form. The formless is all there is of form.

Great is the wisdom of the Seven, mighty from beyond. They manifest through their power, filled by force from beyond.

Hear these words of wisdom and make them your own. Find the formless in them, the key to the beyond. Mystery is hidden knowledge; know, and you shall unveil.

Search the Keys of my Wisdom to find the deep-buried wisdom. Be a master of darkness and Light.

Deep are the mysteries around you, hiding the secrets of Old. The gateway to power is secret, but he who attains shall receive.

Look to the Light, O my brother. Open, and you shall receive. Press through the valley of darkness, overcoming the dweller of night.

Keep your eyes on the Light-Plane, and you shall be One with the Light. Man is changing to forms not of this world, growing to a formless plane above.

You must become formless to be one with the Light. Listen to my voice, showing the pathways to Light and the way of attainment.

Search the mysteries of Earth’s heart. Learn the Law that holds stars in balance by the primordial mist.

Seek the flame of Earth’s Life and bathe in its glare. Follow the three-cornered pathway until you, too, are a flame.

Speak without voice to those below. Enter the blue-lit Temple and bathe in the fire of all life.

Know, O man, you are a being of earth and fire. Let your flame shine brightly, being only the fire.

Wisdom is hidden in darkness. Lit by the flame of your Soul, find wisdom and become Light-Born, a Sun of the Light without form.

Seek ever more wisdom in the heart of the flame. Only by striving can Light pour into your brain.

I have spoken with wisdom; listen and obey. Tear open the Veils of darkness and shine a Light on the Way.

I speak of ancient Atlantis, of the Kingdom of Shadows and the coming of the children of shadows. They were called from the great deep by earth-men’s wisdom for power.

Far in the past, before Atlantis, men delved into darkness, using dark magic to call beings from below. Formless, of another vibration, they came, unseen by men.

Only through blood could they form being, living in the world through man. In ages past, the Masters conquered them, driving them below.

Some remained, hidden in unknown spaces and planes. In Atlantis, they lived as shadows, appearing among men when blood was offered.

They moved as men, but serpent-headed when the glamour lifted. Creeping into Councils, they took forms, slaying chiefs and ruling over men.

Only by magic could they be discovered, only by sound could their faces be seen. They sought to destroy man and rule in his place.

The Masters, mighty in magic, lifted the Veil from the serpent and cast him out. They taught man the secret Word only a man can pronounce.

Beware, the serpent still lives in a place open at times to the world. Unseen, they walk where rites are said, and in time, they may take men’s semblance again.

A master who knows white or black can call them, but only the white master can control and bind them in flesh.

Seek not the kingdom of shadows, for evil will appear. Only the master of brightness can conquer the shadow of fear.

Fear is a great obstacle, O my brother. Be master of all in brightness, and the shadow will disappear.

Hear my wisdom; the voice of Light is clear. Seek not the valley of shadow, and only Light will appear.

I speak of knowledge hidden from man. Far have I journeyed through Space-Time, to the end of this cycle’s space.

I found the great barrier holding man from leaving this cycle. I glimpsed the Hounds of the Barrier, waiting for those who would pass.

In a space where time exists not, I faintly sensed the guardians of cycles. They move only through angles, not free of curved dimensions.

Strange and terrible are the Hounds of the Barrier, following consciousness to the limits of space. You cannot escape by entering your body, for they pursue through angles.

Only the circle protects from the claws of the Dweller in Angles. Once, I approached the Barrier and saw the formless Hounds in the mist beyond time.

They scented me and gave a great bell cry, heard from cycle to cycle, moving toward my Soul. I fled fast from time’s unthinkable end, but they pursued through strange angles.

I fled through circles back to my body, losing the devourers in the circles of time. Even when free from my body, I must be cautious not to move through angles, lest my Soul never be free.

The Hounds move only through angles, never through curves of space. Only by curves can you escape them, for they pursue through angles.

Heed my warning: do not break open the gate to beyond. Few have passed the Barrier to the greater Light beyond, for the dwellers seek to hold Souls in their thrall.

If you hear a hound’s bay, clear and bell-like, while free from your body, flee back through circles. Do not penetrate the mist before you.

In your body, use the cross and circle combined. Utter the Word with your Voice, and you shall be free.

Only one full of Light can pass the guards of the way. Move through strange curves and angles unknown to man.

Do not attempt to pass the guards. Seek to gain your own Light and make yourself ready for the way.

Light is your ultimate end, O my brother. Seek and find ever the Light on your way.

Emerald Tablet IX: The Key of Freedom of Space

Listen, O man, to my voice, teaching Wisdom and Light in this cycle. I teach you how to banish darkness and bring Light into your life.

Seek the great pathway that leads to eternal Life as a Sun. Draw away from the veil of darkness and become a Light in the world.

Make yourself a vessel for Light, a focus for the Sun of this space. Lift your eyes to the Cosmos, to the Light.

Speak the words of the Dweller, the chant that calls down the Light. Sing the song of freedom, the song of the Soul.

Create the high vibration to become One with the Whole. Blend yourself with the Cosmos, growing into One with the Light.

Be a channel of order, a pathway of Law to the world. Your Light is the great Light, shining through the shadow of flesh.

You must rise free from darkness to be One with the Light. Shadows of darkness surround you, but Life fills you with its flow.

Know you must arise and go forth from your body to planes that are One with you. Look around, O man, and see your own light reflected, even in the darkness.

Your Light pours through the veil. Seek wisdom always and let not your body betray you.

Keep to the path of the Light wave and shun the darkened way. Wisdom is lasting, existing since the All-Soul began, creating harmony from chaos by the Law of the Way.

Listen to the teaching of wisdom, the voice of past-time. I shall tell you forgotten knowledge, wisdom hidden in the mist of darkness.

Know, man, you are the ultimate of all things. This knowledge was lost when you were cast into bondage, fettered by the chains of darkness.

Long ago, I, Thoth, cast off my body. I wandered free through the vastness of ether, circling the angles that hold man in bondage.

Know, O man, you are only a spirit; the body is nothing. The Soul is All. Do not let your body be a fetter.

Cast off the darkness and travel in Light. Be free, truly a Light that is One with the Light.

When free from the fetters of darkness, traveling in space as a Sun of the Light, you shall know space is bounded by angles and curves, not boundless.

All that exists is an aspect of greater things to come. Matter is fluid, flowing like a stream, constantly changing.

Knowledge has existed through the ages, never changed, though buried in darkness. It is never lost, though forgotten by man.

Throughout the space you dwell in are others as great as you, interlaced through the heart of your matter yet separate in their own space.

Long ago, I, Thoth, opened a doorway to other spaces, learning concealed secrets. Deep in the essence of matter are many hidden mysteries.

Nine are the interlocked dimensions, the cycles of space, the diffusions of consciousness, and the worlds within worlds. Nine are the Lords and cycles from above and below.

Space is filled with concealed ones, divided by time. Seek the key to time-space to unlock the gate.

Consciousness exists throughout time-space, though hidden from our knowledge, it forever exists. The key to worlds within you is found only within.

Man is the gateway of mystery, the key that is One within One. Seek within the circle, using the Word I give.

Open the gateway within you, and you shall live. You think you live, but it is life within death, for as long as you are bound to your body, no true life exists.

Only the Soul is space-free, with life that is truly life. All else is bondage, a fetter to be freed from.

Think not man is earth-born, though he comes from the earth. Man is a light-born spirit, but without knowing, he cannot be free.

Darkness fetters the Soul. Only the seeker may hope to be free.

Shadows fall around you, darkness fills the spaces. Shine forth, O Light of the man-soul, filling the darkness of space.

You are a Sun of the Great Light. Remember, and you shall be free. Do not stay in the shadows; spring forth from the darkness of night.

Let your Soul be Light, O Sun-Born, filled with the glory of Light, freed from the bonds of darkness.

You are the key to all wisdom; within you is all time and space. Do not live in bondage to darkness; free your Light-form from night.

“Great Light that fills the Cosmos, flow fully to man. Make his body a light-torch, never quenched among men.”

Long ago, I sought wisdom unknown to man. I traveled far into the space where time began, seeking new knowledge to add to my wisdom.

Only the future held the key to the wisdom I sought. Down to the Halls of Amenti, I journeyed for greater knowledge.

I asked the Lords of the Cycles: “Where is the source of ALL?” The Lord of the Nine answered in mighty tones: “Free your Soul from your body and come forth with me to the Light.”

I came forth from my body, a glittering flame in the night. I stood before the Lords, bathed in the fire of Life.

A force, great beyond man’s knowledge, seized me and cast me to the Abyss through unknown spaces. I saw Order molded from chaos and angles of night.

I saw Light spring from Order and heard the voice of the Light. The flame of the Abyss cast forth Order and Light, giving life.

The voice said: “Hear and understand. The flame is the source of all things, containing all in potentiality. The Order that sent forth light is the Word, from which comes Life and all existence.”

“The Life in you is the Word. Find the Life within you, and you shall have powers to use the Word.”

I watched the Light-flame, pouring from the Essence of Fire. I realized Life is but Order, and man is one with the fire.

Back to my body I came, standing again with the Nine. Their voice vibrated with power: “Know, O Thoth, that Life is the Word of the Fire.”

“The Life force you seek is the Word in the World as a fire. Seek the path to the Word, and powers shall be yours.”

I asked the Nine: “O Lord, show me the path to wisdom, the way to the Word.” The Lord of the Nine answered: “Through Order, you shall find the way.”

“Did you not see the Word came from Chaos? Light came from Fire. Look for disorder in your life, balance and order it.”

“Quell the chaos of emotions, and you shall have order in Life. Order from Chaos brings the Word of the Source, the power of Cycles, making your Soul a perfected Sun.”

I listened, and the words sank deep in my heart. Forever have I sought order to draw on the Word.

He who attains it must always be in Order, for the Word through disorder can never be. Take these words, O man, and let them be part of your life.

Seek to conquer disorder, and you shall be One with the Word. Put forth effort to gain Light on the pathway of Life.

Seek to be One with the Sun-State, solely the Light. Hold your thought on the Oneness of Light with the body of man.

Know all is Order from Chaos, born into Light.

Emerald Tablet X: The Key of Time

Listen, O man, and take my wisdom. Learn of the deep hidden mysteries of space. Understand the Thought that grew in the abyss, bringing Order and Harmony.

Know that all that exists has being only because of the Law. Know the Law, and you shall be free, never bound by the fetters of night.

I, Thoth, have journeyed far through strange spaces into the abyss of time. I learned strange mysteries until all was revealed.

Mystery is only knowledge unknown to man. When you plumb the heart of all mystery, knowledge and wisdom will be yours.

Seek and learn that Time is the secret to be free of this space. I have sought wisdom to eternity’s end, yet the goal I seek always recedes.

Even the Lords of the Cycles know they have not reached the goal. With all their wisdom, they know Truth ever grows.

Once, I spoke to the Dweller, asking about the mystery of time and space. I asked, “O Master, what is time?”

The Master replied: “In the beginning, there was void and nothingness, a timeless, spaceless nothingness. A purposeful, all-pervading thought filled the Void.”

I asked, “Was this thought eternal?” The Dweller answered: “For thought to be eternal, time must exist. The Law of Time grew, existing through all space, floating in smooth, rhythmic movement.”

“Time does not change, but all things change in time. Time holds events separate, each in its place. You move through time as your consciousness shifts from one event to another.”

“In time, you are separate, yet One in all times existent.” I departed to ponder the Dweller’s words, knowing they held wisdom to explore time’s mysteries.

I sought to solve the mystery of time. I found time moves through strange angles, but only by curves could I attain the key to time-space.

I came forth from my body, moving in ways that changed me in time. Strange sights and mysteries opened to me; I saw man’s beginning and learned nothing is new.

Seek, O man, the pathway through spaces formed in time. Never forget that Light is your goal.

Search ever for Light on your path; the goal shall endure. Do not let your heart turn to darkness.

Let your Soul be a sun on the way, shining in eternal brightness. Your Soul, a spark of the true flame, is hidden in darkness yet always exists.

Be One with the greatest of all Lights. Find the Source, the End of your goal.

Light is life; without the great Light, nothing can exist. In all formed matter, the heart of Light always exists, even bound in darkness.

In the Halls of Amenti, I heard the Lords’ mighty voices, chanting the song of cycles. Their words of power opened the path to the beyond.

I saw the great path open and looked into the beyond. The movements of cycles were vast, like the thought of the Source.

I knew Infinity moves toward an unthinkable end. The Cosmos is Order, part of a greater movement in harmony with space.

I saw cycles wheel like vast circles across the sky. All that has being grows to meet other beings in a far-off grouping of space and time.

Words hold power to open planes hidden from man. In Words lies the key to open above and below.

Hear this word I give you: “Zin-Uru.” Use it, and find power in its sound. Understand that man is of Light, and Light is of man.

Know a mystery stranger than all beneath the Sun. All space is filled with worlds within worlds, separate by Law.

Once, I opened a door barring Them from man. I called a being fairer than the daughters of men to shine as Light among men.

I used the drum of the Serpent, wore the robe of purple and gold, and placed a silver crown on my head. A circle of cinnabar shone around me.

I raised my arms and cried an invocation to the Lords of the Signs: “Lords of the two horizons, watchers of the treble gates, stand One at the right and One at the left.”

“Dark prince of Arulu, open the gates of the hidden land and release her whom you keep imprisoned.” I called the dark Lords and Shining Ones by their secret names to obey my will.

I lit my circle with flame and called Her from the space-planes beyond. “Daughter of Light, return from Arulu. Seven times have I passed through the fire, neither eating nor drinking.”

“I summon you, Lady of Light, from the realm of Ekershegal.” The dark figures of the Lords of Arulu parted, and the Lady of Light came forth, free to live as a child of Light.

Hear, O my children: Magic is knowledge and only is Law. Do not fear the power within you, for it follows Law as the stars in the sky.

Without knowledge, wisdom is magic, not of the Law. By your knowledge, you can approach a place in the Sun.

Follow my teaching, my children, and be seekers of Light. Shine as a Light among men, a path that shines in the world.

Learn my magic; all force is yours if you will. Fear not the path to knowledge, but shun the dark road.

Light is yours for the taking. Cast off the fetters, and you shall be free. Your Soul lives in bondage, fettered by fear.

Open your eyes to the great Sun-Light. Fear is the Lord of dark Arulu, created by those bound by their fears.

Shake off your bondage, O children, and walk in the Light of the glorious day. Never turn your thoughts to darkness, and you shall be One with the Light.

Man is only what he believes: a brother of darkness or a child of Light. Come into the Light, my children, and walk the pathway to the Sun.

Use the word I have given, and find power, wisdom, and Light. Seek the key I have given, and you shall ever be a Child of the Light.

Emerald Tablet XI: The Key to Above and Below

Hear, O children of Khem, the words I give to bring you to the Light. I, Thoth, have known your fathers from long ago, living among you since your knowledge began.

Deathless have I been through the ages, striving to lead you to the Light of the Great Soul. I draw you from the darkness of night with my wisdom.

Know, O people, that I, Thoth, hold all knowledge and wisdom known to man since ancient days. I am the keeper of the great race’s secrets, the holder of the key to life.

I have been a bringer of Light to you, my children, from the darkness of the Ancient of Days. Listen now to my wisdom and the message I bring.

Hear my words, and you shall rise from darkness to Light. Long ago, I found you in caves of rock, without knowing, barely raised beyond beasts.

By my power and wisdom, I lifted you until you shone as men among men. I fanned the spark of your consciousness until you flamed as men.

Now I speak ancient knowledge beyond your race’s thought. We of the Great Race gained wisdom from star-born races, far beyond man’s.

Masters of wisdom descended to us, as far beyond us as I am from you. Use this wisdom I give, and you shall be free.

In the pyramid I built are the Keys to the Way of life. Draw a line from the great image to the pyramid’s apex, built as a gateway.

Draw another line opposite, in the same angle and direction. Dig and find what I have hidden, the underground entrance to secrets from before you were men.

I tell you of the mystery of cycles, moving in ways strange to the finite, yet infinite beyond man’s knowledge. There are nine cycles above and fourteen below, moving in harmony to a future joining.

The Lords of the Cycles are units of consciousness, sent to unify This with the All. They are the highest consciousness, working in harmony with the Law.

In time, all will be perfected, with no above or below, all One in a perfected Infinity. Deep in the Halls of Amenti sit the Seven, the Lords of the Cycles, and another, the Lord from below.

In Infinity, there is neither above nor below. There is only the Oneness of All when all is complete.

I have stood before the Lords of the All, drinking from their wisdom’s fount. Their Light filled my body and Soul.

The Lord of the Nine spoke: “O Thoth, great are you among Earth’s children, but mysteries exist you know not. You came from a space-time below and will travel beyond.”

“You know little of the mysteries within or the wisdom beyond. Your consciousness is a cell in the process of growth.”

The consciousness below you expands in ways different from yours. It grows because of your growth, but not in the same way.

Your growth brings cause and effect. No consciousness follows the path of those before, else all would be repetition.

Each consciousness follows its own path to the ultimate goal. Each plays its part in the Plan of the Cosmos, in the ultimate end.

The farther the cycle, the greater its knowledge to blend the Law of the whole. You in the cycles below work the minor parts of the Law.

We, in cycles extending to Infinity, build greater Law. Each has a part to play in the cycles, completing work in their way.

The cycle below is not truly below but different in space and time, formed for a need. The fountain of wisdom sends cycles, eternally seeking new powers.

Knowledge is gained by practice, wisdom from knowledge, creating cycles by Law. The consciousness below tests lesser things, while those above work on greater laws.

We, from cycles beyond, came from the Source, gaining ability to use Laws beyond man’s conception. Nothing is truly below you, only a different operation of Law.

Look above or below, and you find the same: all part of the Oneness at the Source of the Law. The consciousness below is part of you, as we are part of you.

Compare cycles to man’s journey from birth to death. The cycle below is like a child with its knowledge; you are the child grown older, advancing as time passes.

We are the child grown to manhood, with wisdom gained through years. So too are the cycles of consciousness, all from one Source, returning to Wisdom.

The Lord of the Nine ceased speaking and sat in silence. Then he spoke again: “We have sat in Amenti, guarding the flame of life, yet our Vision reaches our Cycles and beyond.”

“Nothing matters but the growth of our Soul. The flesh is fleeting; men’s great things are nothing to us.”

“We seek only the perfected state of the Soul. When you learn only Soul progress counts, you are free from all bondage, working in harmony with Law.”

Aim for perfection, though nothing is perfect; it should be your goal. I, Thoth, seek ever more wisdom to be perfect in Law with the All.

Soon, I go to the Halls of Amenti to live beneath the cold flower of life. You whom I have taught will see me no more, yet I live forever in the wisdom I taught.

All that man is comes from his wisdom. All he shall be is the result of his cause.

Listen to my voice and become greater than common man. Lift your eyes upward, let Light fill your being, and be ever Children of Light.

Only by effort will you grow to the plane where Light is the All. Be master of all around you, never mastered by life’s effects.

Create ever more perfect causes, and in time, you shall be a Sun of the Light. Let your soul soar free from the bondage of night.

Lift your eyes to the Sun in the sky-space, a symbol of life. You are the Greater Light, perfect when free.

Look not into the blackness. Lift your eyes to the space above, and let your Light flame upward as a Child of the Light.

Emerald Tablet XII: The Law of Cause and Effect

Listen, O man, to the wisdom of Thoth, the Atlantean. I have conquered the Law of time-space and gained knowledge of the future of time.

Know that man, moving through space-time, shall ever be One with the ALL. The future is an open book to those who can read it.

All effects bring forth their causes, as all effects grew from the First Cause. The future is not fixed but varies as cause brings forth effect.

Look to the cause you bring into being, and you shall see all is effect. In the great beginning, the First Cause brought all existence into being.

You are the effect of causation and the cause of other effects. Ensure the effects you bring forth are causes of more perfect effects.

The future follows man’s free will, moving through time-space toward a new time’s beginning. Seek within causation to find the effects.

I speak of the future, of the effect that follows the cause. Man, in his journey toward Light, seeks escape from the night that surrounds him.

Like stars shining through the shadows of the sky, man shall shine from the darkness. His destiny leads him onward until he is One with the Light.

Though his way lies in shadows, the Great Light glows before him. Dark as the way may be, he shall conquer the shadows of night.

Far in the future, I see men as Light-born, free from the darkness that fetters the Soul. They live in Light, unhindered by the bonds of darkness.

Before you attain this, many dark shadows will strive to quench your Soul’s Light. Great is the struggle between Light and darkness, age-old yet ever new.

In a time far in the future, Light shall be All, and darkness shall fall. Prepare, O man, and do not bind your Light.

Man has risen and fallen as waves of consciousness flow from the great abyss toward the Sun of their goal. You, my children, have risen from a state little above the beast.

Now you are the greatest of men, yet others before you were greater. As others have fallen, so too shall you come to an end.

Barbarians will dwell where you now live, and they too shall rise to Light. The ancient wisdom will be forgotten, yet it shall live, hidden from men.

In the land you call Khem, races shall rise and fall. You shall be forgotten, having moved to a star-space beyond this place.

The Soul of man moves ever onward, unbound by any one star. It moves to the great goal where it dissolves in the Light of the All.

You shall go onward, moved by the Law of cause and effect, until both become One. After you are gone, others will live in your places.

Knowledge and wisdom will be forgotten, leaving only a memory of Gods. As I am a God by my knowledge, you too shall be Gods of the future.

Through the ages, man shall have access to Law when he wills. Ages to come shall see a revival of wisdom for those who inherit your place.

They will come into wisdom and learn to banish darkness by Light. Yet they must strive through the ages to gain the freedom of Light.

Many bound in darkness will strive to hold others from Light. A great warfare will come, making the Earth tremble and shake.

When man conquers the ocean and flies like birds, when he harnesses lightning, the time of warfare will begin. Great shall be the battle between darkness and Light.

Nations will rise against nations, using dark forces to shatter the Earth. Weapons of force will wipe out half the races of men.

Then the Sons of the Morning will come, giving their edict: “Cease striving against your brother. Only thus can you come to the Light.”

“Cease your unbelief, O my brother, and follow the right path.” Men will stop striving, brother against brother, father against son.

The ancient home of my people will rise from beneath the dark ocean waves. The Age of Lights will unfold, with all men seeking the Light of the goal.

The Brothers of Light will rule the people, and the darkness of night will be banished. The children of men will progress upward to the great goal.

They shall become Children of Light, their Souls a flame of the flame. In the great age, man’s knowledge and wisdom will approach the eternal flame, the Source of all wisdom.

In a time yet unborn, all shall be One, and One shall be All. Man, a perfect flame of this Cosmos, shall move to a place in the stars, beyond this space-time.

You have listened long to my wisdom, O my children. Now I depart to the Halls of Amenti, to dwell in the future when Light returns to man.

My Spirit shall ever be with you, guiding your feet in the pathway of Light. Guard the secrets I leave, and my spirit will guard you through life.

Keep your eyes on the pathway to wisdom, with Light as your goal. Do not fetter your Soul in the bondage of darkness; let it wing to the stars.

I depart to dwell in Amenti, but be my children in this life and the next. In time, you too shall be deathless, a Light among men.

Guard the entrance to the Halls of Amenti and the secrets I have hidden. Keep them secret for those who seek Light, not for barbarians.

Receive my blessing and take my way. Follow the Light, blending your Soul with the Great Essence.

Emerald Tablet XIII: The Keys of Life and Death

Listen, O man, to the wisdom I bring. Hear the Word that fills you with Life, banishing darkness and night.

I have brought mystery and wisdom to my children, knowledge and power from ancient times. Know that all shall be opened when you find the oneness of all.

You shall be one with the Masters of Mystery, Conquerors of Death, and Masters of Life. You will learn of the flower of Amenti, the blossom of life shining in the Halls.

In Spirit, you shall reach the Halls of Amenti and bring back wisdom that lives in Light. The gateway to power is secret; the gateway to life is through death.

This death is not as you know it, but a death that is life, fire, and Light. To know the deep, hidden secret, look in your heart where knowledge is bound.

The source of all life and death is hidden within you. Deep in Earth’s heart lies the flower, the source of the Spirit that binds all in its form.

The Earth is alive, as you are in your own form. The Flower of Life is your Spirit’s place, streaming through Earth as your Spirit flows through you, giving life and renewing form.

Your form is dual, balanced in polarity. When Death approaches, it is because your balance is shaken, one pole lost.

In perfect balance, your body cannot be touched by Death. Even accidents only come when balance is gone.

In balanced equilibrium, you shall live on, not tasting Death. You exist because of your balance of poles.

If one pole is drawn downward, the balance of life leaves you. Cold Death approaches, bringing change to your unbalanced life.

The secret of life in Amenti is restoring the balance of poles. All that exists has form and life because of the Spirit in its poles.

In Earth’s heart lies the balance of all things on its face. Your Spirit is drawn from Earth’s heart, for you are one with the Earth.

When you hold your own balance, you draw on Earth’s balance. You shall exist while Earth exists, changing only when Earth changes, holding your form until all passes.

Listen to the secret to avoid change. One hour each day, lie with your head to the north, the positive pole.

One hour each day, lie with your head to the south, the negative pole. When northward, hold your consciousness from chest to head.

When southward, hold your thought from chest to feet. Balance once every seven days to retain your strength.

If old, your body will freshen, your strength like a youth’s. This secret, known to the Masters, holds off Death’s fingers.

Do not neglect this path, or Death will come after a hundred years. Follow my words, keep your balance, and live on in life.

Listen to my wisdom about Death. When your appointed work ends, you may pass to the plane of the Suns of the Morning, the Children of Light.

Pass without pain or sorrow into the plane of eternal Light. First, lie at rest with your head to the east.

Fold your hands at your solar plexus, the Source of your life. Place your consciousness in the life seat, whirling and dividing it to north and south.

Send one part northward, the other southward. Relax your hold, and your silver spark will fly upward to the Sun of the morning, blending with Light.

It shall flame until desire is created, then return to a form. Thus, great Souls pass, changing at will from life to life, as the Avatar wills Death and life.

Drink of my wisdom, learn the secret that masters Time. Learn how Masters remember past lives, a secret easy to master.

When Death approaches, fear not; you are its master. Relax your body, resist not with tension.

Place the flame of your Soul in your heart. Swiftly sweep it to the seat of the triangle, between your eyebrows, where life’s memory holds sway.

Hold your flame there until Death’s fingers grasp your Soul. As you pass through transition, life’s memories will pass too.

The past will be one with the present, all memory retained. You shall be free from retrogression; the past will live in today.

You have heard my wisdom. Follow, and you shall live through the ages as I.

Listen again to the Word that fills you with Life, banishing darkness and night. I bring mystery, wisdom, and ancient power to my children.

Know all shall open when you find the oneness of all. You shall be one with the Masters of Mystery, Conquerors of Death, and Masters of Life.

Learn of Amenti’s flower, the blossom of life in the Halls. Reach it in Spirit to bring back wisdom living in Light.

The gateway to power is secret; life’s gateway is through death, a death that is life, fire, and Light. Look in your heart for the hidden secret, the source of life and death.

Emerald Tablet XIV: Supplementary

Listen, O man, to the deep hidden wisdom, lost since the time of the Dwellers, forgotten by men of this age.

This Earth is a portal, guarded by powers unknown to man. The Dark Lords hide the entrance to the Heaven-born land of Arulu.

The way to Arulu is guarded by barriers, opened only to Light-born man. I, upon Earth, hold the keys to the gates of the Sacred Land.

By powers beyond me, I command to leave these keys to the world of man. Before I depart, I share secrets to rise from the bondage of darkness, casting off fleshly fetters into the Light.

Your soul must be cleansed of darkness to enter the portals of Light. I established the Mysteries among you so the Secrets may always be found.

Though man may fall into darkness, the Light will shine as a guide. Hidden in darkness, veiled in symbols, the way to the portal will always be found.

Future men may deny the mysteries, but seekers will find the way. I command you to keep my secrets, giving them only to those tested, pure, and true.

The power of Truth must prevail. Listen to the symbols of Mystery I give, and make them a religion to preserve their essence.

Two regions lie between this life and the Great One: Duat, home of illusion’s powers, and Sekhet Hetspet, the House of the Gods.

Osiris, the portal’s guard, turns back unworthy souls. Beyond lies Arulu, where the Great Ones have passed, and I will join them when my work is done.

Seven are the mansions of the Mighty’s house; three guard each portal from darkness. Fifteen ways lead to Duat; twelve houses of the Lords of Illusion face four ways.

Forty-two great powers judge the Dead seeking the portal. Four are the Sons of Horus, two guard East and West.

Isis, the mother, pleads for her children, Queen of the moon, reflecting the Sun. Ba is the essence, living forever; Ka is the Shadow, known as life.

Ba comes only when Ka is incarnate. These mysteries, keys of life and Death, must be preserved through the ages.

Hear the mystery of mysteries: the circle beginningless and endless, the form of He who is One and in all. Listen, apply it, and travel my way.

This Secret is clear to the Light-born but hidden from the profane. Three is the mystery, come from the great one; hear, and Light will dawn.

In the primeval, three unities dwell: one God, one Truth, one point of freedom. No others exist; these are the equilibrium, the source of creation.

From the three come all life, all good, all power. God’s qualities in his Light-home are Infinite Power, Infinite Wisdom, Infinite Love.

Masters have three powers: to transmute evil, assist good, and use discrimination. God must perform three inevitable things: manifest power, wisdom, and love.

Three powers create all: Divine Love with perfect knowledge, Divine Wisdom knowing all means, Divine Power from the joint will of Love and Wisdom.

Three circles of existence exist: the circle of Light, where only God dwells; the circle of Chaos, where all arises from death; the circle of awareness, where all springs from life.

All animate things have three states: chaos or death, liberty in humanity, and felicity of Heaven. Three necessities control all: beginning in the Great Deep, the circle of chaos, and plenitude in Heaven.

Three are the Soul’s paths: Man, Liberty, Light. Three hindrances manifest in man: lack of endeavor to gain knowledge, non-attachment to God, and attachment to evil.

Three are the Kings of power within, three the chambers of mysteries, found yet not found in man’s body.

Hear of he who is liberated, freed from life’s bondage into Light. Knowing the source of all worlds, even the Gates of Arulu shall not bar him.

Yet, heed: if unworthy, better to fall into the fire. Celestials pass through pure flame, bathing in Light’s fountains at each heaven’s revolution.

Long ago, I dwelled in ancient Atlantis, drinking Wisdom from the Dweller’s fountain in the Temple. I stood before the Holy One, enthroned in the flower of fire.

Veiled by lightnings of darkness, his Glory could have shattered my Soul. From his Throne’s feet, four rivers of flame rolled through clouds to the Man-world.

The hall was filled with Spirits of Heaven; the Starry palace was a wonder. Above the sky, spirits formed like a rainbow of Fire and Sunlight, singing the Holy One’s glories.

A voice from the Fire said: “Behold the Glory of the first Cause.” I beheld the Light above all darkness, reflected in my being, attaining the God of all Gods, the Spirit-Sun.

Again, the Voice spoke: “The First has no beginning or end, makes all things, governs all, is good, just, illumines, and sustains.”

A great radiance poured from the throne, lifting my soul. I moved swiftly through Heaven’s spaces, shown the mystery of mysteries, the Secret heart of the cosmos.

Carried to Arulu, I stood before the Lords in their Houses. They opened the Doorway, revealing primeval chaos; my soul shuddered at the ocean of darkness.

I saw the need for the Lords of Arulu, with their Infinite balance, to guard God’s creation from inpouring chaos.

I passed around the circle of eight, seeing souls who conquered darkness, dwelling in Light’s splendor. I longed to join their circle but also for the work I chose in Amenti.

I returned from Arulu to where my body lay on Earth. I arose and stood before the Dweller, pledging to renounce my Great right until my work was done, until darkness passes.

Listen to my words for the Essence of Life. Before I return to Amenti, I teach the Secrets of Secrets to rise to the Light.

Preserve and guard them, hide them in symbols so the profane will laugh and renounce. Make the way hard, rejecting the weak and wavering.

Through dark ages, my Spirit remains in the hidden land, watching. When one passes all outer trials, summon me with the Key you hold.

I, the Initiator, will answer from Amenti’s Halls of the Gods, giving words of power. Bring not one lacking wisdom, impure in heart, or weak in purpose, or I will withdraw your summoning power.

Go forth, conquer darkness, and exalt your essence of Light. Summon your brothers so I may impart wisdom to light your path when I am gone.

Come to the chamber beneath my temple, fasting for three days. There, I will give the essence of wisdom so you may shine among men, rising to the Heavens as God-men in Truth.

Now I depart, leaving you to summon those you know but know not.

Emerald Tablet XV: Secret of Secrets

Assemble, my children, to hear the Secret of Secrets. It shall give you power to unfold the God-man and show the way to Eternal life.

I speak plainly of the Unveiled Mysteries, with no dark sayings. Open your ears and obey my words.

I speak first of the fetters of darkness binding you to Earth’s sphere. Darkness and light are one nature, different only in seeming, both arising from the source of all.

Darkness is disorder; Light is Order. Your purpose is to transmute darkness into the light of the Light.

Hear the mystery of nature, the relation of life to Earth. You are threefold: physical, astral, and mental in one.

Each nature has three qualities, nine in all, as above, so below. In the physical, the channels are blood, magnetism, and Akasa.

Blood moves in vortical motion, reacting on the heart to keep it beating. Magnetism carries energies through nerve paths to all cells.

Akasa flows through subtle channels, completing the framework through which ether flows. Each channel attunes with the others, affecting the body’s life.

In their mastery lies the Secret of Life in the body. The adept relinquishes this only by will when their purpose is done.

The Astral is threefold, a mediator between above and below. It is neither physical nor Spiritual but moves between them.

The Mind is threefold, carrying the Will of the Great One. It arbitrates Cause and Effect in your life.

Thus is formed the threefold being, directed by the power of four. Above man’s threefold nature lies the Spiritual Self.

The Spiritual Self has four qualities, shining in each plane, thirteen in one, the mystical number. The Brothers direct the unfoldment of being, channeling the Great One.

On Earth, man is bound by space and time to the earth plane. A wave of vibration encircles each planet, binding man to his plane.

Within man is the Key to release; freedom may be found within. When you release your self from the body, rise to the outermost bounds of your earth-plane.

Speak the word Dor-E-Lil-La. Your Light will be lifted for six hours, free to pass the barriers of space and know those beyond.

You may pass to the highest worlds, seeing your possible heights of unfoldment and earthly futures of Soul. You are bound in your body, but by this power, you may be free.

This is the Secret to replace bondage with freedom. Calm your mind and rest your body, conscious only of freedom from flesh.

Center your being on your longing’s goal. Think over and over the word La-Um-I-L-Gan, letting it sound in your mind.

Drift with the sound to your place of longing. Free yourself from fleshly bondage by your will.

Hear the greatest secret: how to enter the Halls of Amenti, the place of the immortals, as I did. Stand before the Lords in their places.

Lie down in rest, calming your mind so no thought disturbs you. Be pure in mind and purpose, or only failure will come.

Vision Amenti as I described in my Tablets, longing to be there. Stand before the Lords in your mind’s eye.

Pronounce these words of power mentally: Mekut-El-Shab-El Hale-Sur-Ben-El-Zabrut Zin-Efrim-Quar-El. Relax your mind and body, and your soul will be called.

I give the Key to Shamballa, where my Brothers live in darkness filled with the Light of the Sun. They are Darkness of Earth but Light of the Spirit, guiding when my day is done.

Leave your body as I taught and pass to the barriers of the deep, hidden place. Stand before the gates and their guardians.

Command your entrance: “I am the Light. In me is no darkness. Free am I of the bondage of night. Open the way of the Twelve and the One.”

When they refuse, command with these words of power: “I am the Light. For me are no barriers. Open, I command, by the Secret of Secrets—Edom-El-Ahim-Sabbert-Zur Adom.”

If your words are of the highest Truth, the barriers will fall. Now I leave you, my children, down yet up to the Halls.

Win the way to me, and you shall truly be my brothers. My writings are Keys for those who come after, only for those who seek my wisdom.

I am the Key and the Way for those who seek.
